Kagero is Recca's mother. When Kurei was going to be killed, she begged for
him to be spared. She got her wish and instead Kurei and his mother became outcasts. Later, Kagero used a time spell in order
to send Recca into the future to save his life. As punishment for using that spell, Kagero was cursed with immortality. When
she finally found Recca she called herself Kagehoushi and acted as his enemy. Eventually she would reveal the truth to him.
One of Recca's goals is to remove the curse of immortality from her.
